Thousands of urgent fax actions urged him to ensure Tibet was high on the meeting agenda and that he demand China stop the use of force against Tibetan protesters and cease all actions and policies that are contributing to the tensions.

Mass Solidarity Vigils

On 8 February Tibetans and Tibet supporters from around to world joined together to stand in solidarity with Tibetans in Tibet to demand that China acknowledge the growing crisis and immediately address Tibetan grievances before more lives are lost.
Solidarity vigils have been held in towns and cities across Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, UK, the USA and many other countries.
