Around the main centre there are thousands of army / police. Heavy fighting equipment and jets are closeby Surveillance cameras are everywhere, on top of buidings and in in temples. I saw one surveillance room with many modern monitors in a room hidden in a temple/ they had left the thick metal door ajar so I peeked in and was amazed by what I saw. The tibetans are living in their own country as if they are prisoners . The only difference is the chinese in power dont mind if they escape as then they dont let them back in . Tibet is a big country and has tourism and mining potential, as well as stategic importance.
